Hello,

 

Is it possible to synchronize and/or import contacts from either a mobile phone or outlook exchange server hosted on office 365 to Polycom SoundPoint 670 or VVX 600 series phones?

 

If not, is there any planned support in the future for this functionality?

 

I ask because we are comparing these two Polycom phones to Cisco's SPA525g2 series and the Cisco SPA525g2 has the functionality to import and/or synchronize a phone's addressbook into the phone. We prefer Polycom over Cisco but this functionality is one of the key features we are looking for.

Hello JPM1,

welcome back to the Polycom Community.

The main prerogative of the phones has always been to make and receive calls. Addition features like local phone books and other similar things have been taken care of by the various SIP PABX partners we work with.

 

The local phonebook can load a XML formatted phonebook. In addition we do support active directory or similar LDAP phonebooks.

Above holds a link to a PERL script which can convert a CSV file into teh directory format.
