The Phone offers a Microbrowser functionality that can be used as an Idle screen or an interactive browser.
Quote from the Admin Guide:
Using the Microbrowser and Web Browser
The SoundPoint IP and SoundStation IP range, support an XHTML microbrowser.
The VVX phones handsets support a full Web browser.
Note: The exact functions and performance of the microbrowser and Web browser vary with the model of phone you are using!
The Polycom Trio at present does not support this functionality!
You can configure the microbrowser and Web browser to display a non-interactive Web page on the phone’s idle screen, and you can specify an interactive home Web page that you can launch in a Web browser by pressing the Applications key on the phone or by navigating to Menu > Applications.
Example:
- On the VVX 1500 phone, you can launch the Web browser by pressing the App key on the phone or by navigating to Menu > Applications.
- On the VVX phone, go to Menu > Applications.
- On the CCX Phone running Poly UC Software press the Hamburger Menu at the top and scroll down to Applications
The Main or Idle Browser can be set via the phones Web Interface:
It can then be displayed on the phone:
