[FAQ] Using G.729 codec with a Polycom VVX Business Media Phone may be perceived as lower Volume

Utilizing the G.729 Codec on a Polycom VVX Business Media Phone may appear utilizing a lower Audio Volume as for example a Polycom SoundStation or SoundPoint IP Phone.

The Automatic Gain Control / AGC parameter on a VVX phone in parallel with a later Software version (UCS 4.1.8 or UCS 5.2.0 or later) will raise the Volume to a comparable level with the SoundStation or SoundPoint IP Phone.
