Or "Phone rejected the configuration. Some of the configurations have scripting elements." Error message:
Verify the XML content of the imported file via a tool like XML Notepad or similar
A incorrectly formatted XML file was attempted to be loaded
Example:
.test feature.enhancedFeatureKeys.enabled="1" softkey.1.action="$FTransfer$$FDirectories$$FDialpad2$"
softkey.1.enable="1" softkey.1.label="Lync Dir." softkey.1.use.active="1" />
The above example has not a starting " < " chevron and uses a " . " dot instead
A working example should look like this:
<test feature.enhancedFeatureKeys.enabled="1" softkey.1.action="$FTransfer$$FDirectories$$FDialpad2$"

Ensure the right quotes are being used aka:
