Hello

I'm using VVX phones and looking for a way to quickly dial numbers of the local phonebook without browsing in it and without speed dial button on the phone.

I explain by an example ....

A contact in the address book with the number 0123456789 ... it is external number.

I want to dial this contact number by only dialing a short number, for example 33 and it dials this contact number.

I want to do it for lot of contact of the local address book.

thanks

Hello Kakiman,

if the speed dials are assigned to a Favorite / <sd></sd> they are always populated to the screen.

If you do not want to see them you can always follow this FAQ post here:

Jan 12, 2012 Question: Can I change / re-assign the appearance of  Line, BLF, Speed Dial and Presence Keys?

Resolution: Please check => here <=

You would simply use the unassigned category.

Hello Kakiman,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

If you added a contact manually to the VVX , and assigned a Favorite Index number to it, simply dialing this number and then pressing # will show the number and you can dial it.

Hello Steffen,

I did as you told, and it works perfect !

The problem now is that each contact associated with a favorite index is displayed on the screen as a speed dial.

Is there any way to disable this display ? or contact per contact, a field to enable or disable to avoid adding the contact as SD entry on the screen ?

thanks

Hi Steffen,

We have upgraded our VVX phones to UCS 5.3.0 and now I can't dial favorites contacts with # at the end

In fact, we my favorite index is between 1 and 99, the # key works but over 99, so from 100, it doesn't work

this was working with UCS 5.2.0

is it a "bug" or a configuration parameter to add/modify in my phone cfg file ?

Best regards
