I have an IP650 using 3.3.5.  I’m a bit confused on how the features.cfg file works.  I unpacked the firmware and put the config folder along with the other files and folders in the root of my provisioning server share.  This seems to work since I was able to upgrade the firmware change background pics etc... But I can’t seem to get this soft key to work.  The documentation is not specific about a location. So I am under the assumption that features.cfg stays in the config folder and the phone looks for it.  I am just testing for now and am expecting the label I have created (testky) to appear on the phone when reprovisioned.  Attached is features.cfg. In the end I would like to have two speed dial keys on the idle screen.  Any help specifically step by step would be great.

Hello tela_phony,

welcome to the Polycom Community. I am aware that the original post is rather old but I found this and moved it to the correct section.

The community's VoIP => FAQ <= contains this post here:

Oct 7, 2011 Question: What is the relevance of the 000000000000.cfg or <mac>.cfg?

Resolution: Please check => here <=

Above explains what the above file does and how you can use it to load individual configurations. In your case you used a template called features but you would need to use the 000000000000.cfg or a individual <mac>.cfg in order to load your file.

If you upgrade to UCS 4.0.0 or newer you can simply import the file via the web interface as well.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.
