FW 5.2 on VVX600, latest on Jabra.  Talked to Jabra, everything is configured as per their spec.  The headset will randomly start causing the phone to restart when you take the phone off hook.  It appears to freeze the phone then it just restarts.  Obviously removing the EHS cable resolves this.  Anyone have any ideas.

Its always useful to check against current software release notes.

From the 5.2.2 Release notes:

 

  • VOIP-96020 The phone no longer reboots when a call is answered with a headset using electronic hook switch on a phone with multiple BLF lines

Do you have a BLF configured on your Phone ?

 

The same fix should also be in UC Software 5.3.0 as VOIP-96021

Same problem on a VVX500 series phone running v 5.4.  Any thoughts or ideas?

Intersesting 1.  Jabra support walked me throught some testing and the problem proved to be a bad EHS cable. That cable had been working for 3 years, but sure enough there was  a broken pin.
