Hello, I have a problem with the VVX500 models in our network
The phones are provisioned by KPN/RouteIT Broadsoft (Netherlands)

Problem is that for some reason a single entry from a speeddial list is shown in the homescreen below the own internal phone number.
(see screenshots)
These entries come from a variable in the Directories - Favorites, here is a fixed line: %bwspeeddial-list% F... (see screenshots)
I cannot delete this bwspeeddial-list.
The bwspeeddial-list contains all users from the Broadsoft system.
When I hold the bwspeeddial-list, the first user is shown (alphabetically), this is also the user I see on the homescreen.
When I delete the user, the next user comes and also this user is then shown in the home screen etc. etc.
When I delete all users from the speeddial-list it's gone.... also after a reboot.
But once I change/add/delete something in the Broadsoft system and reboot the phone the bwspeeddial-list comes back again?!?

I asked KPN/RouteIT to find out where/how this bwspeeddial-list comes from but nobody has any answers, they say it's someting in the phone.

Anyone any ideas???

Hello PDZ,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

if your Speed Dial contains a Favorite Entry the phone will display this on the main screen.

Remove the entry and it will no longer show on the main screen.

Hello,

When I look into the contacts on the phone (all synched from the Broadsoft platform) they are all favorites indeed.

See screenshot

Still it's weird because for some reason this is caused by the %bwspeeddial-list%

Where does this list come from???

When I disable/delete the favorites link in all contacts the speeddial is gone but as soon as I make a change in the Broadsoft platform and reboot he phone they are all favorites again and the speeddial is back in the homescreen

Hello PDZ,

this is something you will need to work with Broadworks on as they provide the templates.

Have you checked the configuration file pushed to the VVX500s?

HP Recommended

This configuration file is something I cannot control, this is pushed from the broadsoft platform.

Or is there a way to see this file in the phone?

Hello Peter,

the directory file cannot be exported from the phone but a simple wireshark trace should show its content.

You need to raise this with whoever looks after your platform.

You can access the configuration of the phone through the web interface, address is ip address of the phone.  Default password is 456.  Check out Line Key configurations under Utilites. You can also export the configuration from 'Import & Export Configuration' under Utilities.

will it be usefull if I upload the export_all.cfg file to this topic?

Hello Peter,

the export will not contain the speed dials. They are loaded via a separate file and not included in an export.

Please work with whoever provides you with the service to resolve this.
