I have a Polycom VVX300 and a Plantronics CS540 wireless headset.  When I go into the menu selection Settings>Basic>Preferences>Headset>Hookswitch Mode and try to select Plantronics EHS by arrowing down to Plantronics EHS and pushing the Select button, it asks if I want to reboot and i select Yes.  It goes through the reboot process but when I go back to the Hookswitch menu mode it is still in the "Regular Mode" (selection not changed to Plantronics EHS).  Is this not possible on this phone?  I have the interface cable, APP-51) and it plugs into all of the appropriate inputs on botht the phone and the headset dock but, without being able to select the "Plantronics EHS", it doesn't allow for the expected full functionality.  Is there a way to get the full functionality of this interface or is this not an option for this phone model?

Hello brob,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

It is always useful to include the currently used Software version as issues experienced may already be addressed in a newer release.

This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes.

The above is also stated in the "Read First: Welcome to the Polycom VoIP Forum"

Therefore the Polycom VoIP FAQ contains this post here:

Question: How can I find out my SIP UC Software Version or the BootROM Version of my Phone?
Resolution: Please check here

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Thanks for the feedback!  To further expand relavent information to the prior post...the SIP version is 5.2.0.8330 and the BootROM / Updater version is 5.4.0.8782.

Hope this is helpful.

Hello brob,

The first step should be to upgrade to a currently supported version. This is at present UC Software 5.4.3 or even 5.4.2

The community's VoIP FAQ therefore contains this post here:

Oct 7, 2011 Question: How can I setup my Phone / Provisioning / Download / Upgrade / Update / Downgrade Software?
