Looking at the Broadsoft VVX implementation guide (attached) it looks like the VVX line is compatiable with almost all features besides Advanced Phone Services Call Park Notification.

I was wondering if  Call Park notifications have been enabled in a release since this implementation guide was written? Is there any way to enable call park notifications on the VVX?

I assume when you park a call on an extension the BLF would then BLF for that extension represnting a call is parked there similar to what happens when a call is held on an extension. Is that what call park notification typically does?

Hello KL,

such document would need to be requested from our partner BroadSoft.

To my knowledge, and as stated in the document, this is not a currently supported feature.

Please raise this via your Polycom reseller as a feature request via a Polycom sales engineer and provide a business proposal why this would be required.

Above is required in order to track this internally within Polycom and evaluate the request and prioritize this based on the feasibility and the general impact on other features.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Why should I have to raise this as a question to a reseller? Isn't it appaerent that this is a needed feature? Can you explain to me what call park notifications do on other phones that are supported?

Hello KL.

I am unaware what this feature, that is not supported at present on Polycom phones, does on other manufacturers phones.

Clearly, based on the above attached document, neither Broadsoft or other users thought of asking Polycom to add this to our Phones software.

Therefore, as already explained in my initial reply, you will need to raise this via the outlined method.

Best Regards
