Hello mezamesa,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

Firstly you should really upgrade to a currently supported software. This is at present UC Software 5.5.1 or UC Software 5.4.5

The community's VoIP FAQ contains this post here:

Oct 7, 2011 Question: How can I setup my Phone / Provisioning / Download / Upgrade / Update / Downgrade Software?
Resolution: Please check => here <=

After this you can use up.idleStateView="1"

Once you make a call after around 40 Seconds the phone will return to the home view. You can use the up.idleTimeout to shorten this but it will affect how quick the phone comes out of a menu.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Awesome. Upgraded phone and added line to config.

Home screen is there long enough in my opinion. I will deploy it and see what feedback I get from my users.

Thank you very much for the quick response
