Hi - after jumping into LDAP and knowing nothing about the hierarchy and such, I finally have a basic setup working with a VVX 410 (sw: 5.4.0.5841).  I got stuck for a while because the configuration files attached to the Polycom "Best Practices for corporate directories" PDF are apparently way outdated.

So it's fine, but right now the UI is kind of terrible.  When you enter the directory, no names are shown.  The only way to find any listing is to search.  This appears to be default behavior, but typing like it's a cell phone from 2003 is kind of terrible. 🙂  Is there any way to alter the display filter so that by default users will see the full directory?  I can see a full list being problematic for a large company, but we're dealing with places that have less than 30 seats typically - displaying the full directory with the option to search would be optimal.  I see the "dir.corp.viewPersistence" setting, but that just saves state - I want to alter the starting state.  Can one of the filters do that?

Also I keep finding old docs, where do I find documenation on the whole "dir.corp" tree?

I understand search is sort of the default, but I'd still like to raise these questions:

  1. Is there a configuration directive (filter) that would in essence show all entries when entering the directory?
  2. Where is the current documentation on the "dir.corp" section of the configuration tree?
