I am trying to setup voicemail on a new VVX410.  When I select the voicemail button from extension 205 I get an audio response stating "the person at extension 205 is on the phone please leave your message after the tone."  The phone seems to let me leave a voicemail.   I have the same problem on extension  100.

 

Any suggestions to allow me to get voicemail setup?

Hello krwessel,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

Without stating what kind of SIP pabx or service you are using nobody can answer your question.

 

I suggest you contact whoever is providing you with this service as this has not really anything to do with the phone itself as the voicemail is not a build in feature of the phone.

I am using an Elastix box with FreePBX.  I followed the simple directions to setup VM which were consistent with several videos or online tutorials.
