Hi,
New VVX 410. Was running 5.0.0.7250 and everything was great. Now with 5.0.1.4068 I have a strange issue. I haven't changed a thing other than upgrading the firmware. Hosted Asterisk platform and I'm using the same template I was using previously. Now, if I pick up a line before dialing, the phone stops taking digits after the 6th entry and tries (unsuccessfully of course). If I just enter the 10 digit number on the dial pad and then press Dial, it works fine. Can you please advise what changed in release 5.0.1.4068 to cause this behavior and how I might correct this (perhaps in the config file?) I have double checked the digitmap and that didn't change with the new software release.
Thanks!
Louis
Hello Louis,
I just discovered this unanswered post whilst looking at some of your older posts.
The community's VoIP => FAQ <= contains this post here:
Oct 7, 2011 Question: Phone unable to Dial a number when Off Hook or on 2nd Call in a Conference
Resolution: Please check => here <=
Above explains how to use the phone's log to troubleshoot digitmap issues. You should start by comparing a phone running UCS 5.0.0 and one UCS 5.0.1 and see what match is found.
Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

----------------Thanks Steffen. Can't remember what was the cause of that, but I decided to just go back to 4.1.6 since is supports the sidecar, and the fact that all the 5.0 releases still hide the label buttons during transfer (no "lines" softkey to see them like in 4.1.6).
