Hi everyone,

So the subject says it all - VVX 250 can't communicate via Ethernet at all - DHCP or static IP?

No VLANs, no nothing, super simple test setup, even when IP is set to static IP using the phone configuration menu, the phone can't see the network and does not respond to ping.

If set to DHCP, no IP is obtained and eventually an error pops up on the display that DHCP has failed? Tried 2 phones just to be sure - same outcome.

Any ideas?
Thanks

lol had to disable VLANs by deleting the numerical value, all good

  1. Press the Menu button.
  2. Using the directional keys (up, down, left, right), scroll to 'Settings' then press the Select button.
  3. Scroll to 'Advanced' then press Select.
  4. input the password of the phone then press Enter.
    • default is 'ASK SUMO'
  5. Scroll to 'Admin Settings' then press Select.
  6. Scroll to 'Network Configuration' then press Select.
  7. Scroll to 'Ethernet Menu' then press Select.
  8. Scroll to 'VLAN Menu' then press Select.
  9. Scroll to 'VLAN ID'
  10. Does it have a numerical value?
  11. Yes (it is enabled) but I want to disable it:
    1. Press Edit.
    2. Use the left arrow key to delete the numerical values until there is nothing left.
    3. Press OK.
    4. The numerical value is now gone.
    5. Press Back until asked to Save (usually 'Save Config') then press Select.
    6. Press Back until you see 'Exit' then press Select.
    7. The phone will likely reboot.

Hello @Boyan ,

Welcome back to the Poly Community.

Is this a "new" VVX 250 from June or July or later 2022? What is the Switch that is being used? We have seen issues around the later hardware >here<
