Currently trying to figure out why we cant' get BLF to display on VVX1500 running 5.4.0

We have mixed VVX / SPIP deployment here and BLF is working for all phones save the VVX1500.

Going through the avilable documentation I could find (most of it appears to be out of date referencing that VVX1500 only supports "static BLF") BLF should be fairly standardized across the line now. (at least that is imy interpretation after reading the UC 5.0 release notes, specifcially page 😎

We're using the attendant.ResourceList method as outlined here

The config for both the VVX 1500 and say a 400 are the same

VVX1500
attendant.resourceList.2.address="sip:whatver@domain.com"
attendant.resourceList.2.label="Label"
attendant.resourceList.2.type="normal"

VS

VVX400
attendant.resourceList.2.address="sip:whatever2@domain.com"
attendant.resourceList.2.label="different label"
attendant.resourceList.2.type="normal"

The VVX1500 doesn't throw up any errors in the logging but it's also not giving us any BLF.

I'm curious if anyone has any insight as to what we may be missing.

thank you

Hello Eric_P,

welcome back to the Polycom Community.

The VVX1500 to my knowledge only supports the attendant.uri method for BLF.

In addition from the UC Admin Guide 5.4.1 page 134:

Prior to UC Software 3.2 (Polycom SIP versions 2.1-3.1), a basic version of BLF was available on VVX 1500 phones. This basic BLF enables you to be monitored and to monitor idle and active phone states. As of UC Software 3.2, Polycom added enhanced BLF to all Polycom phones except VVX 1500 phones; this enhanced version also notifies you of the ringing state of a monitored phone. Currently, the enhanced version is available on all Polycom phones except VVX 1500 phones. You can monitor VVX 1500 phones and use VVX 1500 phones to monitor other phones; however, VVX 1500 phones monitoring other phones notify you of the idle state and active states of monitored phones and do not notify you of the ringing state.
