I am looking for a way on Polycom VVX and SPIP phones to mimick a functionality found on Cisco phones. On a Cisco phone you set an Extended Function on a button saying you want the button to do BLF, or Speed Dial, or Call Pickup. Also in that function you can tell the phone what address you want the phone to speed dial when you press the button, and a different address that it will subscribe to for the BLF functionality. Is there a way to do this with Polycom UC on these phone models? For instance I want when my user presses a button to call **2000@domain.com or just **2000 but I want the BLF subscription to happen on 2000@domain.com or 2000. Please let me know if this is a possibility with Polycom phones.

Thanks!

Hello jbrisko,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

To my knowledge we do not support this functionality. Once a BLF has been assigned it subscribes to the Extension.

Pressing the key will dial the extension. The LED next to the key and the line itself will monitor events for this extension. Pressing the key whilst the extension is alerting will pick up the call.

A option would be the expansion module as this has 3 layers per key. The first top layer could be used for BLF, the 2nd and 3rd for any other number or function.
