Hi,

I'm looking for a VoIP phone that can utilize my Mac's broadband connection when I'm on the go, e.g., by being plugged into my Mac's USB or ethernet port, or through wireless internet sharing. Does such a product exist? If not, can anyone recommend possible solutions? Hotel Wi-Fi and other public gateways just don't provide the call/voice quality I need.

Thanks,

Andrew

Hello Andrew,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

Polycom manufactures multiple different devices that may do what you are after.

The C100S is a product developed for our Partner Skype and can be used via an USB Port.

All Polycom SIP based SPIP / SSIP / VVX Phones work via a standard Ethernet connection and could in theory be used whilst plugged into a PC / MAC Ethernet connection if the Operating System supports network sharing.

All our SIP based Phones usually require PoE and would in this case have to be powered via an external power supply.

For more details please contact a Polycom reseller.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards
