I have been tasked with getting a new IP7000 phone (running the current 4.0.6 software) working with a mobile device for use in areas where no network connectivity will be available.  According to the brochure the "Built-in 2.5 mm applications port allows you to connect the conference phone to a mobile phone for productive calls even where no network connection is available"

I have the proper adapter cable and everything works as expected when the IP7000 is connected to a network but if I remove the network connection from the wall and restart the IP7000 it will boot up and only display “Network is down” and the time will blink and none of the keys will work.  Connecting the mobile device at this time does not work.

Is there a way to disable the requirement of an active network connection to use a mobile device?

Thanks.
