Update of sip.ld for IP5000 to version 4 and higher not possible

I have a Polycom IP5000 Phone and I try to update the application sip.ld.

I have downloaded the files for  in http://downloads.polycom.com/voice/voip/sip_sw_releases_matrix.html for version 3.2.3 Split and 3.3.5 Split (i.e. the oldest and the newest version 3), and I can update both of them.

Then I'm trying to update to version 4 and higher, and all of this fails ("your phone is not compatible with this version of sip.ld" or simular). What am I doing wrong? How is it possible to update to a newer/the newest version of sip.ld?

Updating to bootrom.ld version 4.3.1 (posted sep. 15, 2011), which seems to be the newest bootrom.ld, worked fine.
