I'm having a hard time getting passed the certificate steps when trying to register an IP7000 to Lync. I've followed the instructions on http://support.polycom.com/global/documents/support/setup_maintenance/products/voice/Lync_Provision...., but the phone will not register. We have a cisco VCS that is using the same certificate and registering.

Phone: IP7000

Sip version:3.2.3.1734

Firmware:4.3.1.0440

Error on Event viewer from lync front endserver pool:

Dec 6, 2011 Question: What Phone Models support the LYNC Features added in UCS 4.0.1?

Resolution: Please check => here <=

You provided your Software Version as SIP 3.2.3 and this is simply not compatible with LYNC. LYNC support was only introduced in UCS 4.0.1

UCS 4.0.1 is supported by the SoundStation IP7000 but Polycom does not support the SSIP7000 as a LYNC Device as future Updates for LYNC will not be supported on the SSIP7000.

Above does not mean the SSIP7000 will not be able to run in a LYNC environment but Polycom will not provide any support for it.

Thank you for the response that is very helpful...

Does Polycom not currently support the SSIP7000 as a Lync device or will support simply not be available on future release or future date?

Thanks for the response.

Hello Newbie,

due Future Releases with additional feature Polycom Product Management decided to remove the Polycom Support from the SSIP7000 due lack or resources for the future applications.

Best Regards
