Hi,

is ist possible to change the Skype Logo on a Trio 8800 when it is only used in USB mode?

 

At customer site people think they have to use Skype instead of Teams, although the device is only connected via USB, not to a network.

 

So it would be great if we can add the customer logo instead of the Skype S.

thanks for the quick reply.

 

So i suggest, if we do it like that, we see the Teams Logo, correct?

 

And can we also add a customer logo that fit the icon specs of the Trio?

Okay, **bleep**.

 

so if we do the setting with the config file like you did, but in Microsoft optimized for USB we still have the Skype Logo.

 

So are we doing something wrong?

I know nothing about your installation. Are you using the latest 7.3.0 software (or as of today 7.3.1) ?

 

I have no clue either how the configuration is applied as no backup was attached.

 

I suggest you work with our support organisation.

Our test system is currently a Trio 8500 on version 7.2.2.1094.

is this Trio getting an IP or just PoE?

 

I am unable to check this as I am just a volunteer and I cannot support you via the community as a volunteer. Others are welcome to try and help.

The trio only gets PoE, no IP.
The user simply connects to the device via USB.
Unfortunately, the user thinks through the Skype logo that he is phoning on the device via Skype.

you have 2 options:

 

  • Educate the user
  • Upgrade to 7.3.1 and re-test and if still the same open a support ticket with our support organisation
