Solved: Trio 8800 Setting up SIP & Skype FB account

is there any way i can setup SIP account as primary and switch to skype loging when needed?

basically i need both SIP and skype running together so that can switch depending on needs.

Hi Randhir,

Did you manage to get this to work on your trio 8800? I've just purchased one and trying to add an extra line so i can simultaneously get SIP and SFB as i don't an E5 plan.

I was looking for this same scenario from my VVX 410. I have a SIP account and a Skype for Business (Office 365 Enterprise E3 plan). Where do we send product feedback for future consideration?

VVX 410 (standalone, no provisioning server) on Office 365 (and once dual provisioning becomes available -- voip.ms)

As you can see by the above this is not possible on a VVX and I am unable to discuss roadmap in this public forum.

I was informed by one of the Polycom representative from Singapore that this should now be possible using certain Firmware.

Could someone from Polycom confirm that this endeed now possible to simultenously configure both SIP and Skype FB account.

Unfortunately, the link is not working anymore. Is this "experimental feature" to use a skype for business account and an SIP line now included in the Trio 8800? Thanks!

Resolution: You can register only one line when Lync is set as the base profile on the phone. The Polycom Trio has a Hybrid registration feature from UC Software 5.5.2 or later. Details can be found in the Trio Admin Guide or => here <=
