Hello,

We have a number of Polycom Trio 8800 devices. When we try to connect to the network using Wi-Fi the device connects to the network without any issues. However, when we try to connect to the network using the Ethernet Port we get the following issues:

1. When the device re-boots, we get an error called "DHCP Failed".

We have tried the following:

1. Changed the VLAN Discovery Mode to DISABLED.

2. Manually tried entering the IP Address, Subnet Mask, IP Gateway but still had no connectivity.

3. Plugged the device directly to the modem. Validated that the ports in the modem work.

Model: Trio 8800

Firmware Version: Poly Trio 8800 Software 7.2.2.1094

Settings: Factory Settings

Modem/Router Model: Actiontec T3200

Have I missed something?

Hello @Santhush-com ,

Welcome to the Poly Community.

Does this network set-up usually support devices? Could it be CDP?

I suggest you check our FAQ post here:

Jul 31, 2020 Question: How can I troubleshoot a phone not getting an IP or DHCP issues?

Resolution: Try a manual IP => here <= or for DHCP logging check >here< and check LLDP or CDP => here <=

If this fails please open a support ticket directly with our support infrastructure.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards

Steffen Baier
