Hello,  the problem i am having is strange.  I have setup these phones more than a dozen times and have never come across this.  The phone i am using is Polycom SoundPoint 335; Part No# 2345-12375-001 Rev:A; Mac addr: 00:04:F2:36:22:68; UC Software Version:4.0.8.1608 BootROM Software Version:5.0.8.0935.

OS: FreePBX

SHMZ release 6.5(Final)

Kernel 2.6.32-431.e16.x86_64 on an x86_64

I upgraded from version: 4.0.7.2514  which worked find some months ago. The only reason i upgraded to 4.0.8 was to see if the problem would go away. I have about 10 phones that have the old version on them and they work fine.  I have done a Reset to Defaults, Reset Local Config and a Format File System and the time is still 5 hours later.

The problem is when i configure the phone through the built-in software(Polycom Web Configuration Utility) the date, time, and extensions show through the display correctly but not the time.  For example Thur, Apr 2,   7:16P,   201.  Right now it's 2:21P as i write this.  It's like a five hour difference.  When i login to the root and type date it shows: Thu Apr 2  14:25:47 EDT 2015.  The phone works otherwise.  It rings, i can get calls, but the time is anonying.  Any suggestions?  Is there any need to install Asterisk, although when i type asterisk -rvvv i see 11.9.0.

Hello giveMeSomeAnswers,

welcome back to the Polycom Community.

The community's VoIP FAQ contains this post here:

Jan 28, 2013 Question: Time and Date flashing or unable to set time correctly

Most likely the offset settings so I suggest you export the working phones configuration and compare it to the non working configuration.
