It appears there are some special characters that are not allowed in the 'device.logincred.password' parameter. A password that contains < or > generates a notice 'This special characters are not allowed' in the WebUI on the Trio8800 after you move out of the password box..

Is there a list of the special characters that are disallowed?

 

The notice is not generated on a VVX 501 (6.2.0.4023) are the special character exclusions inconstant between models?

Welcome back to the Poly Community.


The VVX runs on Linux whilst the Trio and CCX range runs on Android. They are also different code bases so cannot be compared with each other.

 

The chevron limitation is not only for the password field and the check was added to avoid any XSS vulnerability
