I setup the Soundstation IP 5000 at my office. Everything if working properly, inboud and outbound calls but when I move the unit to the other building I get no dial tone and nothing works. I have confirmed all my connects are good with other IP phones but the Soundstation IP 5000 will not work at all. Please advise.

Hello timkeeley,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

This must be a network issue caused by either a firewall or some ports not being mapped.

Pressing the Off Hook Key would provide you with a dial tone as the phone creates this locally but you would still not be able to make a call if the phone is not registered.

The community's VoIP FAQ contains this post here:

Resolution: Please check => here <=

Above explains on how to simply check the registration status.

Jan 19, 2012 Question: How to troubleshoot Polycom VoIP related Issues?

Resolution: Please check => here <=

Above explains how to use the logs on the phone to troubleshoot.

For everything else you need someone to setup a spanned / mirrored port to verify the phone can route its traffic in your network.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.
