Soundpoint and OCS

Hi,

I want to know if it is possible to integreate Soundpoint Ip phone and VVX with OCS (To get status, send IM).

I know that is possible with Lync, but no information about OCS.

All information that i found for OCS is related with CX phones or HDX system.

Re: Soundpoint and OCS

UCS integration is only tested and supported with Lync Server 2010, no previous versions of OCS are supported at this time.

Re: Soundpoint and OCS

Hello knuckles,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

The UCS 3.3.0 and UCS 4.0.1 both mention the Microsoft Live Communications Server 2005 Integration.

Only the Spectralink 8400 Series has support for Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2 Integration.

I have personally never used either of the above.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Re: Soundpoint and OCS

Hi Knuckles,

I've managed to get the SoundPoints to work under OCS 2007 R2 by following the same process as for Lync. The only change we needed was to build a dial plan (aka location profile) into the phone.

I've blogged it here:

Re: Soundpoint and OCS

Hello all,

please bear in mind , as Jeff already replied, that only LYNC is supported.

OCS may work but we would most certainly not take any support calls on this.

Best Regards
