I have call center type set up with 7 users utilizing Soundpoint IP 450 (SIP 3.1.3.0507) with CS540 and APP-51. There are three phone lines assigned to each device. Two of the lines are in a Hunt Group, which allows a call to roll from the main number to the alternate number when it is not quickly answered. When a user answers a call on the main line with the CS540 headset the other users' CS540 headsets continue to beep/ring as though the call was not answered. I need to know how to stop the beeping once the call is answered.

According to Plantronics the IP 450 and Plantronics CS540 w/ APP-51 EHS configuration is compatible, they advised I post the issue to this forum. Any assistance/guidance will be greatly appreciated.

Hello @bft_trvlr70,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

the initial question to ask would be if the actual phone is ringing for these lines even if the Headset is not connected?

The software you are using is donkey's old and there is no easy way of even suggesting on how to troubleshoot this.

A currently supported software is 4.0.14

The above explains in detail how to convert your existing configuration into a currently supported format.

Thank you for the reply.

The phones operate normally without the headset. The phones also operate normally with the HL10 handset lifter. We did not encounter an issue until installation of the APP-51 EHS cable.

Unfortunately, my phone service vendor states that I am unable to update the firmware without upgrading to the VVX model phone. They just recently upgraded the firmware to 3.1.3. I was hoping someone else in the community had a similar problem with this configuration before. Hopefully someone out there can provide some insight.
