We acquired some used Polycom phones and have been able to use the key sequence 1,3,5,7 at bootup to reset the admin password but after the phone reboots unable to access the Settings option after pressing Menu>Settings>Advanced by entering the default admin password of 456.  We get the following error "Sorry, please try again" any ideas how to completely reset this phone's configuration files back to factory default?  We have a Asterisk server running in house that the phone keeps registering too but no luck in accessing the Advanced section.  Any suggestions?

Hello mmarks,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

We do not publicly announce how to reset the phones if you are not aware of the procedure in order to protect our customers investment.

There are plenty of post's about this and explaining why we do not do this.

You have 2 options:

  1. Contact the seller and get the password of them
  2. Contact Polycom Support and pay the PPI fee to liaise with support

I will remove any reply explaining how to do this within this community.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.
