I have a soundpoint 550 that is using version 5.0.2.12692
I want to downgrade it too 3.2.3.1734.
Howver when boot the phone it jumps right to asking for a password 456 and i go and set it up to contact my TFTP server at 192.168.1.2. I exit and it goes to "Saving config" and it never goes anywhere else, it gets stuck on saving config and will not get past it.
I have another 550 just like this it however did get past the "saving config" screen, and i did succesfully downgrade it back to 3.2.3.1734.
I use that lower version as our config files do not work with anything higher, and I am ok with that.
Any suggestion as to why this phone is not gettign past "saving config"?
Hello Troy Davison,
welcome to the Polycom Community.
I am not aware of any Software Version 5.0.2.12692 for the SPIP 550
I would suggest you attempt to factory restore the Phone.
The community's VoIP FAQ contains this post here:

----------------the screen indeed says Software Version 5.0.2.12692
issue is the phone refuses to carry out anything, attemtp to reset phone it hangs and does nothing.
When i attempt to reset to factory settings it hangs on "Uploading log file."
even "reset settings" it hangs on saying "preparing to reset settings"
Furthermore when i attempt to set it to my pbx i cant becuase it wont save the settings that i input it for it to connect to the pbx.....
I never put Software Version 5.0.2.12692 on this phone (I found it this way), am simply trying to make it work, and its not.
I look at those FAQ I attempted them before even posting.
also to note, i can not get into the phone, its just on the setup screen.
Hello Troy Davison,
not knowing any history of the phone or since when it is showing this behaviour I can only assume it is faulty.
