So I pick up this phone and it has BootROM 3.3.5 on it.

 

I am looking over ths guide:

I see the download page to upgrade it to 4.x.x

 

 

 

I endup downloading a file named SoundPoint_IP_BootROM_4_4_0B_Upgrader_release_sig.zip because I see where it is stated

 

"Before you can successfully install UC Software 4.0.x onto phones running Polycom® UCS released prior to version 4.0.0, you must perform a required upgrade procedure using the Polycom® Upgrader 4.4.0 Utility." located at

I am using a TFTP server and form I read it states I just drop those files into the TFFP server root location, and the phone will automatically locate, use, and upgrade itself using those files.

 

I set the IP address to the provisioning server, and gave the phone root credentials of the server since this is only on a LAN.

 

Well the abobe  is not happening. I would have done all this through the web gui , but it turned off thus no access to it.

 

Any advice on what to do now?

 

 

Or should I just attempt to provision with 3.3.5?

The latest software for an SPIP330 is UCS 3.3.5 and therefore your phone cannot upgrade to UCS 4.x.x or higher.
