Hi,

 

I just strted setting up the Polycom vvx 500 phone in a new office (offered by 8x8). and when connecting the PCs to the phone via the PC Lan Port, I see download speeds drop to 1/10th the speed it is when connecting directly to the switch. Upload speeds remain the same though.

 

Can someone please advise?

welcome to the Polycom Community.

It is always useful to include the currently used software version as issues experienced may already be addressed in a newer release.

This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes.

This is the current version on the phone.

 

UC Software Version 4.1.6.5216 BootROM Software Version

5.1.6.4341

 

When manually switching to 1000FD, theres no internet, switching to auto or 100FD works fine.

 

Tested this on two phones, same issue.

UC Software 4.1.8, 5.1.3 or even 5.2.0 should be considered.

 

You can upgrade via the Web Interface and this is all detailed in the FAQ.

I am running 5.2 and i am still having the issue described.  I have also tried to manually set the duplex speeds, and that also did not resolve the issue.  Any other options would be great

Did you ever resolve this issue?  I just deployed 20 VVX410's and have the same problem.
