Hi,

I have configured 2 phones with Shared Line Appearance.

I have configured 3 lines on each, all registering with the same number as Type "Shared" and I have left Third Party Name blank.

 

When a call comes in both ring. When one answers the other shows the call in progress with the scrolling phone icon.

 

The phone that answered shows the call in progress (with arrows) on one line and the bottom line has the scrolling phone icon.

My users complain that this is confusing. Is there a way to stop the answering phone from giving the false impression that there are 2 calls in progress.

 

My phones are connected to a SIP switch.

 

The behaviour is the same on 450's and 550's.
