Hello @Grigory ,

Your Mac shows as a VX 400,POE,RU (P/N: 2200-46157-114) aka Russia.

Poly can sell phones in Russia that can:

  • Encrypt the SIP Traffic using TLS
  • disable SRTP in the factory as the license we hold for Russia does not allow us to encrypt the Media Stream

The above explains why you can use TLS but not SRTP. This is the same if the phone would be used for Skype for Business.

The above is a requirement by the Russian Government.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

We already replied with the above as we have to honour local laws

Let's imagine that I'm not from Russia, but just use a VPN ; -). I looked at my configuration file and saw that the encryption is in my phone, here is the configuration:

This equipment was supplied to Russia, here encryption menu is disabled, but the configuration files can include it. I have an encryption section in the menu, these functions are not hidden.

Hello @Grigory ,

The setting does nothing as the actual feature is disabled in the factory when we produce hardware for Russia.

There is no way to re-activate this or somehow circumvent this programming.

I am closing this post as we are going in circles.

Best Regards

Hello @Grigory

Just to close this off.

The URL linked is not a Poly ULR so we cannot control what "Information" is being shared and the correctness of this. The other Community Link is for a completely different Poly Product but the same is applicable. Devices sold for Russia do not allow SRTP and therefore a change to the setup on the Microsoft side has to be made not to enforce SRTP.
