Hi,
I have been trying to update my provisioning templates to work with the 3.3.3 UC firmware. I have everything working except for some reason I cannot manage to disable the periodic melody that indicates a voicemail (our users don't like it!)
In the old sip.cfg I had this:
<MESSAGE_WAITING se.pat.misc.1.name="message waiting" se.pat.misc.1.inst.1.type="silence" se.pat.misc.1.inst.1.value="1"/>
... and in the new sip.cfg I have replaced that with this:
<se.pat.misc se.pat.misc.1.name="message waiting" se.pat.misc.1.inst.1.type="silence" se.pat.misc.1.inst.1.value="1" se.pat.misc.1.inst.2.type="silence" se.pat.misc.1.inst.2.value="2" se.pat.misc.1.inst.3.type="silence" se.pat.misc.1.inst.3.value="1"/>
However I still get a warning trill every half hour or so
Any help would be gratefully received, I'm sure I'm making this more difficult than it really is.
Thanks in advance
George

Steffen, thank you very much, I put far too much faith in Google as I had searched but foolishly assumed that Google's results would include results from this forum.
Will search the forum directly next time.
Thanks again
George

Hi George,
google does show most replies from this community quite high up or even first. It always depends on how you search and what key words you use.
Thanks for getting back and converting old pre UCS files is much easier using the cfcUtility.
Thanks for marking it as a fixed solution as this hopefully helps others too.
Best regards
