Hello,

I'm trying to remove softkey "Forward" from SoundPoint IP 650 and VVX 500 devices in Alerting state (i.e. when there is incoming call waiting to be answered).

 * SPIP 650 runs 4.0.6, VVX 500 runs 5.0.2.

 * I have feature.enhancedFeatureKeys.enabled="1" in features.cfg

What I've tried:

1) settings softkey.feature.forward="0" in features.cfg > softkey doesn't work, i.e. it doesn't seem to have any effect, "Forward" is still present;

2) inserting softkeys, including empty softkeys, - works fine, so I can move Forward to the right, effectively hiding it under "More" key, but that's not a solution, especially when every document and FAQ I've checked so far points to the setting softkey.feature.forward="0" that should do the job.

I already know that it's not possible to remove DND softkey.

I wonder if the same is true for Forward softkey?

Hello ivanp,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

The removal of the DND and Forward Key and functionality is already part of the UCS 5.1.0 software.

This has not been released to the public and is only available via support. The next UCS 5.1.1 will be a public release.

Both above releases are VVX only.

The Softkey presented in the alerting state cannot be removed from my knowledge and such feature would require a feature request via your Polycom reseller.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Hi Ivanp

What PBX are you using? Its worth noting that having shared call appearance on a phone on broadworks makes the forward key disappear.....

also have you tried the following:

  <softkeyoff>
  <softkey softkey.feature.forward="0"/>
  </softkeyoff>

not certain it will work but may be worth a shot.....

Cheers

Dave

Hello Dave,

the original poster already tried this but it only removes it from the Idle screen.

The alerting screen does show it again.

Hi Steffen,

Thanks for your reply! I will try UCS 5.1.0 for VVX.

I wonder if there any plans for to introduce the same functionality for SoundPoint and SoundStation devices?

Cheers

Ivan
