Hi,

I am provisioning a Polycom VVX400 and getting errors, but I am just trying to find if there is somewhere that I can get more details on what the errors are.

In Settings -> Platform -> Configuration, I see that a file is throwing 1 error and another is throwing 101. I can also see this in the app.log:

000022.658|cfg  |4|00|Prm|Configuration file(s) statistics: 101 parameters were invalid and could not be interpreted.
000022.658|cfg  |4|00|Prm|Configuration file(s) statistics: 1 parameter values were used but were out of range. 0 were invalid and ignored.

Is there somewhere that I can find more specifics about which parameters are causing the errors? It is hard to narrow down the issue with only a count of the number of problems.

Regards,

Josh

For additional details, this is on V5.6 firmware. I updated the .cfg files and seem to have fixed the errors that were printing above, but I am still having an issue. Specifically what I am trying to diagnose is the SNTP server not being set on the phone.

The following lines in the config are setting the server:

<tcpIpApp>
        <tcpIpApp.sntp tcpIpApp.sntp.address="10.0.201.70" tcpIpApp.sntp.gmtOffset="-18000" tcpIpApp.sntp.address.overrideDHCP="1"  tcpIpApp.sntp.gmtOffset.overrideDHCP="1" />
    </tcpIpApp>

But after updating config the SNTP server in the phone settings is blank and a ! is flashing in the top corner for date/time.

Hello JosLav,

welcome back to the Polycom Community.

101 Errors in a single file are worrying so I suggest you check this file. The errors should usually also be documented within the logs itself.

Lowering the Configuration Logging level should also show more details.

In regards of a Time Issue the community's VoIP FAQ contains this post here:
