How do I get rid of the red lock that occilates with the date on the Polycom VVX 500 touch screen?

Hello PCMarko,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

Most likely you mean the Red Trangle with an explanation mark like this:

The above is simply a reminder that the Phone is utilizing its default password.

You can verify and temporarily clear this via:

Home Key => Settings => Status => Diagnostic => Warnings

Pressing the Clear Icon Soft Key will remove the warning until the unit is rebooted. In order to permanently clear this icon the default factory password must be changed.
