If VLANs are activated in a Soundpoint IP 450 phone either through DHCP or manually on the phone itself where there is a computer attached to the other ethernet jack on the phone, will *ONLY* packets emitted by the phone get tagged with that VLAN ID or will *BOTH* packets emitted by the phone *AND* the packets passing through the phone from computer *ALSO* get tagged with that VLAN ID? I'm trying to separate my VoIP traffic from my regular data traffic but am restricted to connecting up the phones this way. Thanks in advance.
Hello KokYongTan,
welcome to the Polycom Community.
The phone, to my knowledge, would only tag it's own traffic and would not tag the PC's traffic.
