Hi Polycom community,

Hope someone can help me out here. I have setup a new IP7000 soundstation with our NEC SV8100 and all working except 3-way conference. I can call both parties, however as soon as I complete the conference on IP7000, second party immediately go on hold. I have been told by NEC that this is a limitation? is this true? Is there a way to get this working?
Thank you.

Hello Posh G,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

It is always useful to include the currently used SIP or UC Software version as issues experienced or a question asked may already be addressed in a newer release.

This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes, Administrator Guides or FAQ post’s.

The above is also stated in the "Must Read First" and is the absolute minimum requirement every new post should include. .

In addition providing us with this basic information gives Polycom an idea what Software Versions are used in the field and avoids wasting time trying to troubleshoot issues which have already been addressed.

Therefore the Polycom VoIP FAQ contains this post here:

Question: How can I find out my SIP or UC Software Version of my Phone?
Resolution: Please check here

In addition:

Hi Steffen,

Thank you for your reply and sorry for my short question without too much info to go by. I will get a Wireshark trace and upload it shortly. But to answer your first part of the questions, IP7000 UC version is;

UC Software Version 4.0.13.1445

BootROM Software Version 5.0.11.0282

I have been told by NEC that it is not possible to do 3 way conference with SV8100 using IP7000 due to 3rd party SIP limitations. I just wanted to confirm this is the case or if there is a workaround as it is defeating the purpose of using a conference phone without conferencing features.

Regards,

Posh
