Polycom Software Life Cycle

Hi All

 

People at my place of work are looking for a Polycom Life Cycle software document explaining how software on Polycom telephones are managed? is there such a document?

For example, I'm sitting on UC software 3.3.5 while 5.2.0 has already been released, is Polycom still able to support 3.3.5? or is there a certain timeline between software releases (as i know you guys have 2 major releases each year)? Hence a Software Life Cycle document explaining how software on polycom handsets are managed.

Hello Adie87,

This all depends very much on the device you are running.

 

UC Software 3.3.5 is the latest maintenance release for phones like the SPIP 320 / 330 as an example.

 

These phones will never run the UC Software 5.2.x or even 4.x.x

 

I am not aware of any planned maintenance releases for the "older UC Software 3.3.x string at present.

 

I would suggest you work with your Polycom reseller so they can connect you to a Polycom sales engineer who can share any potential road map.
