I have just purchased 3 brand new IP560 SIP phones from a business contact who had a few spare from his installation.

 

When plugged into either of my PoE switches (HP and CISCO), all three create a buzzing/chirping sound from the backThe noise seems to get louder once I made a callIs this normal for the 560 SIP.

Hello Daren,

I have not heard this and would suggest to disconnect the Phones. Have you got any other Polycom phones that you could test via PoE?

Yes we have a whole series of Polycom phones already on the same swicthes (IP321 SIP, IP330 SIP, IP650 SIP) and they all work silently as you would expect.

can you email me the MAC Addresses of all 3 so I can check internally if we are aware of anything and also the Hardware Revision?
