I have a Polycom IP335. Recently, the handset microphone stopped working. I can hear the caller but I cannot speak. The speakerphone works. I thought the problem was the cord connecting the handset to the base station had become twisted, so I changed it the phone cord. That did not fix the problem. I tried to change the handset with another phone i had laying around. That did not work. This phone has not had any wear or tear, so I doubt there is physical damage. Any ideas? Do I need a special cord to connect the handset to the base station (I'm using a regular curly phone cord)? Is there software problem?

Hello BostonGary,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

There is no known Software issue that I am aware off that would cause this.

If you tried the handset on another Polycom phone or swapped another Polycom phone handset including cord with this one and it still fails you should contact your Polycom reseller.

If you used a third party handset the result may differ.
