Our department has several users using the Polycom CX300. We all seem to be experiencing the same problem. After the first couple of minutes in a phone call the party at the other end cannot hear us for about 5 seconds. If the conversation goes on for another few minutes it will happen again.  We had someone who installed the phones check things out and he cannot find the issue.  This problem also happens at home. We all VPN in from our homes a couple times a week and experience the same problem there as well.  We all do not have the same laptops, though they are all HP laptops, some have different models.

My assumption is that this may be an issue through our servers?  When only one of us had this phone she said she never had this problem. Now that several of us have the phone she, like us, experience this problem frequintly.  I experience the problem with every call.  I have to preface my calls at the beginning that I will cut out for about 5 seconds so they don't think I've hung up or got disconnected.

Hoping to know if anyone else has experienced the same issue or if we're alone on this.

Thank you,

Randy

Hello Randy,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

It is always useful to include the currently used software version as issues experienced may already be addressed in a newer release.

This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes.

The above is also stated in the "Read First: Welcome to the Polycom VoIP Forum"

In addition Polycom and other manufacturers produce these optimized for Microsoft® Lync® devices after a reference design and the embedded OS running on the phones is provided, supported and maintained by our partner Microsoft®.

You therefore may want to reach out to the Microsoft® community and / or Microsoft® support directly instead as this is the most direct and efficient path.
