I upgraded the firmware on two (2) Polycom SoundPoint IP 331 phones I have and now when I submit changes through the web interface, the phones does not accept them or reset. The SIP Software Version is 3.3.2.0413 and the BootROM Software Version is 4.1.3.0052. Admittedly I am somewhat of a novice so please pardon if this was submitted to the wrong forum. Thank you in advance for your advice and/or suggestions.

Actually, had to reset the local config to defaults. No change I made in the web interface would cause the phone to accept the changes and reboot. This included completely changing the account settings, server settings, etc., etc., etc. Took me a while to figure it out but once I did, I tried the upgrade on a couple of other phones and got the same result. Until I reset the local config to defaults, the web interface would not work. Of course, in a large installation this might be a slight pain in the derriere but that was the only way I was able to resolve the situation.

Hello jreed1949,
welcome to the Polycom Community.
Plenty of other members could profit from your knowledge if you could have shared it.
I can only guess that the changes made to UCS 3.3.x and the Parameters that are not BOLD in the Admin Guide do no longer require a reboot.
These include the SIP registration for example.

Thanks for posting this. Helped me out of a jam I was in for almost an entire day!
This issue occured for me with an IP 7000 with the following versions. I had previously upgraded from SIP version 3.3.3.0069. I ended up having to do as you did and reset the default config and the web config then it worked.
Phone Model SoundStation IP 7000 Part Number 3111-40000-001 Rev:M MAC Address IP Address UC Software Version 4.0.6.0711 BootROM Software Version
5.0.1.10553

Hello Orin,
welcome to the Polycom Community.
For the SSIP7000 I currently recommend using UCS 4.0.4 or older only.
We may have identified issues using UCS 4.0.5 or 4.0.6 causing the device not accepting any changes.
Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.
Best Regards
