Good Afternoon,

We are working with a customer for whom we have deployed Poly D230 wireless phones and they are reporting that for about 60% of the Poly D230 phones they receive, they are being asked to "Input the PIN Code of the Base Station" when attempting to register the handset to the base.

I have never encountered this before with the Poly D230 and am unable to replicate using my Poly D230 test phone.

They have advised that sometimes it's works when inputting "0000", but not all of the time.

Could you please advise if this is a bug or perhaps a firmware issue?

Our Base firmware version is 7.1.1.8557

Attached are pics of the handset sent to us by our customer

Hello @jtrabucco ,

Welcome to the Poly Community.

I ran this by our Obi Support team and they suggested ensuring that not multiple handsets are being tried to register at the same time. If a Handset is on an older firmware it may trigger the PIN message. This has been removed in later handset firmware (1.0.9). They suggest power cycling the handset via holding down the red button and starting the handset pairing sequence again with only 1 handset at a time.

If you still have issues please work with your regional Poly support team.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards

Steffen Baier
