Hello Community,

is it possible that when a call comes in, the USB device connected to the CCX also rings at the same time?

image

Our Usecase:

In a public area, the telephone and the speaker connected to it should ring in the event of an emergency alarm. The internal speaker of the CCX phone is currently too quiet.

Out Setup:
Poly CCX 500 with a usb connection to a poly sync 20+.

I have already tested several attempts - unfortunately without results.

Sync 20+ connected via USB to Poly CCX 500
Sync 20+ connected via Bluethooth to Poly CCX 500
Sync 20+ via BT700 dongle connected to Poly CCX 500

Hello @HF-IT ,

Welcome to the Poly Community.

from the photo is seems the phone is running our Partner Microsofts Teams application as when using the phone in openSIP or Skype for Business the Loud Ringer wav file can be selected as explained in this FAQ post:

Oct 25, 2011 Question: How can I change my Ringtone or Ring in a special manner for a certain incoming call?

Resolution: Please check => here <=

You would need to work with our Partner Microsoft

Terminating the ringer with an external device like our SYNC is not a tested or supported use case so a feature request is required.

Jan 03, 2013 Question: How can I request a change aka feature request to the current Poly ObiEdition / UC Software?

Resolution: Please check => here <=

Hello @HF-IT

I did a quick test using openSIP and using a sync 20 I cannot see that much of a difference in how loud it is using the LoudRing.wav with the following CFG:

<?xml version="1.0" standalone="yes"?>
<!-- Terminate Ringer on Headset for SYNC testing -->
<web se.destination="headset"/>

Switching to Microsoft Teams uses Microsoft built-in ring which via Sync 20 is not that loud when using the controls to raise the ringing to the highest of volumes.

Again, I suggest you contact Microsoft as they provide the ring tone with their app and would need to access another louder ring.

Best Regards
