Phones Not Ringing

To Begin, I am not an IT guru, so I may be overlooking something simple.


My business started using the VVX250 phones about 2 months ago. we have 2 lines being utilized between 3 phones. 1 phone is rarely ever used, other 2 are the mains. Power is coming through ethernet through our provider, Xfinity at 50mbps speeds.


We recently started hearing from customers that they have been trying to call, but no one was answering. After doing some testing, we discovered that sometimes (no way to MAKE it happen, all random) that even though you would dial the correct number, none of the phones would ring. Which would explain why people aren't getting through to us. But like I said, it is only happening sometimes. We just tested it and nothing was working. Got a few phone calls from customers, no problem. We then tested again 30 mins later, and 1 of the 3 phones would ring. Then again, a different phone would ring, but not the other 2. 


Is there something that we are missing? I couldn't tell you if this was happening since day 1, because we only just discovered that there was an issue.
