We are migrating to a hosted phone system, which only supports paging to one phone at a time.  We will be using Polycom phones.  Our receptionist will need to page to all phones at once.      Is there a server I can configure onsite which will allow our receptionist to do this...Polycom SIP?

Hello J3L8,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

As you have not posted what actual phones you are utilizing it is tricky to reply.

The UCS 4.0.0 Software introduced a feature called PTT. This does not require a server and just sends a multicast message to all subscribed phones.

The community's VoIP FAQ contains this post here:

Oct 7, 2011 Question: What SIP or UC Software Version or BootROM Version is supported by my Phone?

Resolution: Please check => here <=

Above will enable you to verify the latest supported Version.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards

We will be using Polycom / IP650 and Polycom / IP 331 phones.   Our voice provider advised their platform does not support the feature you describe.   Could they be mistaken?

Hello J3L8,

the functionality has nothing to do with your VoIP Platform and will not utilize any of their facility's as it uses a standard network protocol/

It may be that your provider does not support UCS 4.x.x yet and that is something you will have to liaise with them.

Best Regards
